The Halliday Center is excited to introduce our newest clinician, Uche Okolie, LCSW. Ms. Okolie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience working with adults in both individual and group settings. She specializes in working with veterans and military families as well as black, indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) populations.  She received her Masters in Clinical Social Work with a Mental Health focus specializing in Veterans and Military Families from Boston College, where she trained at the VA Boston Healthcare System. Ms. Okolie gained additional experience at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Home Base Program for Veteran and Family Care. 

Ms. Okolie offers specialized expertise in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety disorders, Mood disorders, and Co-occurring substance use disorders. She utilizes a warm and collaborative approach with each of her clients and delivers evidence based treatments to help them reach their goals. She strives to empower individuals with the tools to understand and cope with difficult experiences in their lives so they can move forward and lead fulfilling lives.

Online group therapy:

1. Intro to Dialectical Behavior Therapy Group: Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00 P.M. 

     This class will consist of 3 modules: Distress tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

2. Reduce PTSD Symptoms with Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 P.M. 

     CPT helps you heal from traumatic events and reduce negative effects from trauma. 

3. Real-life Relaxation & Coping Skills: Thursdays, 6:30-8:00 P.M. 

     Increase your adaptability to stress by eliciting the relaxation response and other coping skills.
