Kim is a Licensed Therapist with over 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families (Military and Civilian) in a variety of settings including Rady Children's Hospital and The UCSD Center for Eating Disorders. She specializes in the areas of Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, Body Image, Self-Esteem, Life Transitions, Marriage/Family/Couples Therapy, Grief, Distress Tolerance, Sleep Hygiene, Stress Management, School Advocacy and LGBTQ issues. Kim holds certificates in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Positive Youth Development, and Couples, Marriage and Family Therapy from The Gottman Institute (Levels I and II).

When working with patients, Kim takes an integrative approach to psychotherapy by combining traditional Evidence-Based treatments with creative, dynamic modalities in a warm, validating environment.
