My name is Dr. Genevieve Olucha and I am excited to join the Halliday Center for Wellness and Therapy. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist (California License: PSY30674) and since graduating with my Ph.D. from Saint Louis University, I have worked in a variety of locations and settings, learning valuable skills at every step. I have discovered that my passion comes in solving problems for a variety of clients to help them lead the life they want to live. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and groups and helping them to harness their strengths, learn new skills and set them on a course to achieve their life goals. At times this includes approaching stuck points from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework and other times includes utilizing solutions focused strategies to build on previous momentum. I individualize my treatment for each specific client and their needs, and work to create a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, compassion, candor and humor.
Working in various settings has allowed me to gain expertise working with cisgendered men and women, transgendered men and women, and those not quite sure where they fit. I enjoy exploring communication and conflict within relationships, helping people through various life transitions, and have expertise in sexual behavioral issues. I also have a keen interest and substantial experience in psychological and forensic assessment.
I work with clients across the lifespan beginning with adolescence (13+).
