Brenda Gomez, Psy.D. is a caring, insightful, and compassionate clinician who works with individuals and families through the spectrum of ages beginning with children ages 6 and up, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Dr. Gomez works with clients experiencing problems with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustments in life/life transitions. Dr. Gomez has practiced within a variety of settings and is licensed as a clinical psychologist in the state of California (PSY31708).
Dr. Gomez uses an integrative approach to therapy. She begins with a conversation to gain an understanding of the problems you are currently experiencing, and gain insight into your mental, emotional and overall health history, she then tailors an individual therapeutic approach to address your specific needs and assist you in making progress towards your identified goals.
Her training and experience include a broad range of evidence based practices including: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Humanistic therapies. Dr. Gomez’s aim is to awaken and deepen each client’s self-awareness and self-compassion, to build upon their personal strengths, and to help them gain insightful tools that will facilitate their moving forward in their lives with more hope, strength, and skills.
Dr. Gomez also specializes in psycho-diagnostic testing, including evaluations for clinical, neuropsychological and educational purposes.
